INGREDIENTS
- 65g white flour
- 50g vegetable fat spread
- 65g porridge oats
- 40g sugar
- 5 eating apples (prepared weight about 350g)
- 1 teaspoon mixed spice or cinnamonpowder
METHOD
- Heat the oven to 180°C / 350°F / Gas 4.
- Put the flour in a bowl and add the fat spread to it. Rub the fat spread into the flour with your fingertips until it resembles breadcrumbs. Add the porridge oats and sugar and mix together.
- Peel and slice the apples. Put the apples into a heatproof baking dish, add the spice or cinnamon and mix together.
- Place the crumble mix over the apple and put the crumble in the oven for 30 to 35 minutes until the fruit is soft and the crumble browned.
